On Doctor Who, he had kitties that had evolved into nurses and took care of others. Obviously the writer of the story did not understand kitties at all! Red Dwarf's cat/human evolution was much more true to form.

May I suggest the perfect cat for someone allergic (as am I, I am sorry to say) is a basenji. Actually they are dogs, but only just. They are very clean, and entertain themselves for the most part. I have terriible asthma and most kitties and dogs send me to the emergency room, but I have one of these. Kittties are better in space though, since dogs would want to go "outside" and that would be bad.

Thank you to Mean Kitty and Jody for letting me be on your blog today. I appreciate it very much, especially since I don't have any kitties. As you pointed out the name of my heroine in Centauri Midnight is Kiti but that is as close as I get to a space cat. I will definitely consider a space cat for my next book.
