Continued from yesterday's interview with Ciar Cullen, here is the Q&A session with Ciar's cat! Much better than those DOG interviews I felt obliged to do...

1) So, your human writes books. Does this mean he or she is home all day and easy to access? Elaborate if necessary.
sniff. mommy and daddy both work during the day, so I'm a latch-key cat. well, i don't actually leave the apartment. outside scares me a bit, what with the others...you know, the bigger gangland cats...
i know to expect the humans at around 5:30, except on Caturday, when they are around a lot. sometimes dad leaves the tv on for me all day. i know he thinks it's good company, but it really just annoys me. except for judge judy.
2) How large a proportion of her income do you have her devote to your gourmet tuna, cat beds, toys and other basic necessities?
Mom is baaaaad and only buys enough for one week at a time. This makes me terribly nervous and whatnot. What if it snows and they can't get to the store? Daddy buys me a new toy every two weeks. He just doesn't understand that I don't care about the grey blobs once I chew their tales off. Mom threatens to make me get a job to pay me keep (now that I'm 8), but I always shows her my paws and shrug. Who's hiring these days anyway?
3) What are your techniques for distracting your human during crucial writing moments, just because it's fun?
I find a mindnumbing screeching howl and several really fast turns around the apartment get her attention. If she really wants me to shut up, she'll put down some of that green drug that makes me see spinning foods in the air. I likes that a lot.
4) What indignities and neglect have you suffered because of your human's writing career?
Oh none! Her desk is at the window where you can see the flying foods really good! She puts out things for the flying foods to eat, and also my squirrelfriends stop by on that windowsill. It's good when mom writes. She works and I watches.
5) Tell me about the felines in your human's fiction. How often do they appear and how big a part do they play?
Grrrrrr.
6) On the off-chance your human has yet to incorporate cats into a story, what are your plans for making sure she rectifies this egregious error and demonstration of poor writing skills?
I chew toes. Nuff said.
7) What works of fiction or cinema involving cats does your human enjoy sharing with you?
The Big Cats (the relatives of my humans who serve me when my humans are away) always sing to me. My humans don't sing to me, but sometimes they plays guitars for me and stuff. I like salsa music, and some rock. I like to sit on the newspapers and whatever reading mom tries. I don't watch TV.
8) If you could make one change to your human, what would it be?
Available for petting all day long, at my command. And more monkey rides (monkey rides are when my daddy pulls me around the hardwood floor. is fun!)

Question for pets: Are you happy with your human? If you could tell your human one thing, what would it be?
I'm the happiest cat ever. My humans adopted me from a bad place. I would say "i love you forever"
What things does your human do that would mortify it if known? What does your human do that most annoys?
They shut me out of the bedroom once in a while to have monkey rides of their own. I hates that!!!

LOL
I always thought Judge Judy had feline characteristics.
Ciar's cat sounds like a sweetie. :)
Monkey rides of their own? Um, hmm, yeah...... :x
I love the interviews you have been doing lately. They're very funny, and I can always use a good laugh.
Flying food, eh? LOL
Ciar, I just finished Mayan Secrets and loved it, even if it didn't have any cats in it. The mask thing might have been close, but . . .
Seriously, it was a great story and was great prep material for my upcoming cruise to the area.
