American Title?

The past several years, Dorchester Publishing and Romantic Times Magazine have teamed up to run a contest for romance novelists set up like American Idol. Ten manuscripts, chosen by the judges, are given chances to sing on stage, so to speak -- present their blurb, their character sketches, their dialogue, and so on. Then we the people email in our votes for our favorites. The winner gets a publishing contract with Dorchester, which is, as you can imagine, a pretty big deal.

This year a friend, Edie Ramer, who often visits this blog has made it to the next to last round. There are 4 manuscripts left, and 2 will be eliminated in this round.

If you've any interest in participating, all you have to do to support the contestant of your choice is send an email! Here is the link to read the current scenes and vote: http://www.romantictimes.com/news_amtitle3.php

Sincerely,
Typing Slave

Edie, congrats on making it this far! I know AT is a long, tough competition (I was voted out early during AT3 :) I'll do my voting soon. Good luck!
