Ode to CK Williams

What some of you may not know about me is I have a MA in poetry. FWIW, some of my favorite poets are CK Williams, Ogden Nash, ee cummings, Mary Oliver and David Lee. I thought I'd mention it before I continue with my blog entry. Anyway, this morning I was inspired to write the following ode to both Mr. Williams and my bathroom sink:

I have killed
the spider
that was in
the sinkbowl

and which
has probably
ruined
my breakfast

Forgive me
It was poisonous
so small
and so brown
