Feel Like Making Love

I'm not ashamed to admit there are times I want some love. It's not a sexual thing (dude, I'm FIXED), it's a Meankitty thing. Kind of a tactic, in fact. The trick is to schedule your cuddle fits when it is least convenient for the humans.

The thing about cat-owned humans is they secretly long for the cuddle fits. They wish they could get them when THEY want them, that we were nicekitties who allowed them to have their way with us on their terms. The silken glide of our fur under their fingers, the rumble of our purr, lowers their blood pressure, increases their contentment, whether they realize it or not. The addiction to cat is subconscious but no less powerful, for all that. So it's necessary to allow contact sometimes in order to keep them addicted, and what better times than when you want it, anyway?

With Nanny Slave, my favorite times to give in to my urge for purrs is when she is desperately working on a deadline (yes, yes, she DOES work sometimes), when she is trying to sleep because she has to get up at 5 am and drive somewhere to talk about trash, and when she has her "friend" come visit. I let nothing stand in my way of the pettings. Not harsh words nor laptops nor shovings and yellings. In fact, those actions only challenge me to Bring. It. On.

I like to aggressively cuddle Typing Slave when she's sick. She's so lame and pitiful. FoodSlave gets my love when he's trying to eat a meal. He tosses me off the table, I jump back on. Repeat a billion times.

The small slaves don't get much love from me, unless they're wet from the bath and my hair will stick all over them. Their hands aren't big enough to rub me the way I like it.
