Interrupt Much?

Oh, you're home from your vacation, huh? Thought we missed you while you were gone? Think again. Can't you see we're sleeping here? All that partying we did while we had the house to ourselves, aside from the times when the petsitter was here. Plus we need to rest up to ring in the New Year, Meankitty style, so scram! The flash interrupts my dreams of bunny carnage. Now I'm going to have to make Big D give me a backrub to soothe my frazzled nerves. Or at least that's what I plan to tell him.

Tick Tock You Don't Stop!

You know what's fascinating? All the work the slaves put into cleaning the house for things like parties and holidays when it's just going to be trashed in a day or so. Maybe less, if the party involves 8 screaming small princess slaves, birthday cake, and giftwrap. However, during the pre-party frenzy, the slaves temporarily took my favorite clock off the wall and let me watch it.

For hours and hours.

Until I sort of knocked it into the floor.

Remaining in one place while staring at something in a creepy fashion--be it household item or human--is a great psyche trick straight from the SOHC handbook, by the way. Try it some time!

Loud Thing doesn't laugh like this, but Pink Thing did. Loud Thing is too busy ruling the household, I think, to laugh with such abandon. Queenship is hard work.

Cats & Baby Toys Part Something

Some things are so good they're worth sharing. Case in point: the gymborini. If you can't run them off, the wise meankitty understands that it's occasionally okay to join them:

Joining them without a fight lulls them into obedience. That way the next time you demand a spot in the house for your very own, they will be more inclined to let you have it. Unless, of course, "they" is/are another cat:

It's okay to share with other cats sometimes, too. We meankitties are nothing if not erratic and inconsistent! It's part of our charm. (It's also in the SOHC handbook.)

6 new kitties in my Gallery tonight: Bernadette, Miss Lizzy (whose slave cuts Food Slave's hair, small world, eh?), Beanito Pussolini, Bleeping Kitty, Disney and Bill Two Toes. It's a rare day when Typing Slave actually updates the site. Go admire!

By all rights, I should let Typing Slave post this one, but you know? Loud Thing ate ALL the sweet potatoes and didn't leave any for me! How selfish is that? I had to settle for licking her pants after TS tossed them in the laundry.

In other news, there were way too many screeching small girl slaves at Pink Thing's birthday party, and I had to repair to the Secret Lair Where No Slave Can Ever Find Me. I recommend a minimum of two SL's for every member of SOHC.
