This was sent to me by one of my writing buddies and her cat is apparently one of Meankitty's followers:
"My husband and I moved to Washington DC a few years ago, hauling my two cats with us. We worked long hours at a startup company, leaving Boo (the smart cat) and Stinky (the not-so-smart cat) home with a lot of time on their hands to get in trouble. It was the first house Boo had ever lived in which didn’t have kitchen cabinets that closed with some sort of latch. The doors rested against the cabinet frame. He’s always been fascinated with opening doors, to the point we had to leave a chair propped under the doorknob for the back door in our old house or we’d come home with the door hanging on the chain and the house freezing cold from the weather.
One night, I got home from work about 9pm. I walked in and saw from down the hall that every cabinet in the whole kitchen was standing open. Thinking we’d been robbed (the theme song from Texas Chain Saw Massacre began to play in my head), I whipped out my cell and called my husband. Inching down the hall, I whisper to my husband that the cabinet doors were all standing open (those above the counter and below), while my husband dialed 911 on his work phone. I finally gathered up the nerve to round the corner into the kitchen proper, only to find Boo hanging out in a casserole dish, looking completely pleased with his day’s work."

If you have a meankitty incident that doesn't have an accompanying photo, send it to me and maybe Meankitty will let us post it on her blog! (Obviously ones with photos need to be put in the www.meankitty.com Gallery.) MK was feeling magnanimous today. Little does she know the ladies of the house, except for her, are about to vacate to Grandma Slave's house and leave her and Big D alone with Food Slave for several days. Hopefully Food Slave will use the time to conduct household experiments, I mean, projects. That's the plan, anyway. And yes, yes, his honey-do list includes "Praise and pet Meankitty"!
